I’m Krista. I escaped the frozen tundra that is upstate New York to get my education, earning an MFA in design management from Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. As principal UX designer at Cantina, I bring a diverse, 15-year background in design and higher education to the team. I’ve worked with such brands as MINI, Fidelity, American Greetings, Converse, Aruba, and National Geographic Channel. For National Geographic, I worked as lead UX designer for the interactive “Killing Jesus”section of their website.

3:00 PM Jumpstarting Innovation: Brainstorming terrible, awful, no good, very bad ideas.

Do you ever feel stuck when trying to solve a problem? Have you ever been in a brainstorming session that felt uninspired? Are you looking for a team-building activity or professional development that is actually fun? Bad-idea brainstorming may be just what you are looking for. During this workshop we will introduce a concept that flips traditional ideation session on their head. Participants will work individually, and in small teams, to prototype the worst ideas they can think of. This workshop is the perfect session for anyone who wants to laugh, have fun, get their creative juices flowing, or unleash their inner evil genius.
