Ryan ShaferHuman-Centered Design Director
Ryan leads Human Centered Design for the Innovation Center of Excellence at UnitedHealthcare where he is responsible for creating innovative healthcare experiences for members across multiple platforms, digital, mobile APP, web, wearable devices, and retail. Prior to his current role Ryan designed products and customer experiences to drive business results for global brands including Philips Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Becton Dickinson, Target, Walt Disney, CVS I Caremark, New Balance and Unilever. Ryan has lectured on product and experience design at Babson, and the Rhode Island School of Design, has taught at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and has mentored at the Harvard Innovation Lab (i-lab) and the Rochester Institute of Technology.
